Yes. Tennessee licensing boards requires continuing education related to controlled substance prescribing. Unless exempt under Tennessee law, everyone holding a current Tennessee medical license shall complete a minimum of two of the forty required hours of CME related to controlled substance prescribing. In short, you need this education every two years to renew your license.

Yes. Successful completion of the end-of-course exam will earn two hours of CME.
